We are excited to announce a fantastic opportunity for our local school pupils! During the conference week, we will be offering a day of activities to primary children and a day of activities to secondary children. These will be on the 5th and 6th of July. The activities include:
The Cosmos – Our guest speaker Professor Lewis Dartnell will give a unique experience of the cosmos. The talk includes audio and visual elements which will leave your students star struck.
Lewis Dartnell is a professor of science communication at the University of Westminster who has written many books and appeared on numerous science programs on both radio and television, including the 'Sky at Night' and 'Stargazing Live'.
James Webb Space Telescope – Find out more about one of NASA’s flagship programme, due to launch in 2018, which will offer unprecedented look at the Universe.
Planetarium – Sit back, relax and explore the furthest reaches of our solar system all inside our inflatable planetarium.
Comets – Comets are beautiful interstellar wanders, but what exactly is inside them? Experience building a comet in the lab with Hull's own Cosmic Carol!
