Very rarely, pulsars host planets. Since the supernova explosion unbinds the system, these planets should have formed around the stellar remnant, but searches for circumpulsar discs have had little success. In a serendipitous observation, we found evidence for dust around a nearby middle-aged pulsar. The most likely collection mechanism is sweeping of interstellar material during a Galactic Plane passage. This can inform not just the physics of planet forming potential in an exotic environment, but how massive stars interact with their surroundings.
