The SNB3GEO electron models have been developed in Sheffield and exploited by the of the Horizon 2020 PROGRESS project. The models employ solar wind parameters as inputs to calculate a forecast of the electron flux for the following day. The models have been shown to provide a reliable forecast for the electron fluxes and are capable of providing real-time warnings of when the electron fluxes will be dangerously high for satellite systems. SNB3GEO was shown to have the best forecast accuracy when it was compared to the NOAA relativistic electron flux model. The fusion of the SNB3GEO model and the VERB model to produce a forecast for the whole outer radiation belt environment.
